Our prayers are with the 11 St. Mark’s Youth, (Ian Brost, Lettie Christianson, Amanda Forrest, Jalen Franklin, Kimberly Gorecki, Maria Marsicek, Anna Marsicek, Logan McClellan, Dylan Stanford, Adrian Szymonski, and Andrew Wade) and chaperones, (Michael Christianson, Paul Gorecki, and Pennie Linna) who leave Tuesday for the NATIONAL YOUTH CONVENTION in New Orleans. They return July 27. Thank you to everyone who helped them to raise the money needed to make this trip possible!

 

COOK-OUTS continue at St. Mark’s each Wednesday throughout the summer. Bring your own meat and a dish to pass; the grill is ready at 5:00 pm.

 

FRIENDSHIP LINKS meets Thursday at Marcia Lee’s (676 Dartmouth Drive). Dessert and drinks will be provided. Bring your swimsuit, towels and the kids!

 

Articles for the August MESSENGER are due in the office Thursday.

 

VBS NEEDS YOUR HELP: We are in need of a few items: 6—3 lb. coffee cans, old magazines, a plastic children's swimming pool, and t-shirt transfer paper.

 

Help wanted:  People who are talented {whether they know it or not}. People who love kids {or at least think they are a kid at heart}. People who would like to learn about the Bible in a fun way with other people. Please attend a meeting August 6 at 6:30 or contact Sherri Denney at 830-0055.

 

THE ADULT SINGLES GROUP is going to be cooking once again; come join the fellowship! We will meet at Gloria Dei on Saturday, July 25 at 5:30 pm to start cooking our meal. All the food and recipes will be provided at a cost of $7 per person. We will cook, eat, and clean up together, then spend the rest of the evening enjoying games.
